This piece emphasizes the connection between green and the feeling of growth and nature. She features a cool blue on her skin to represent water and air, warm brown tones on her clothes to represent soil and grounding energy, and she grows green grass hair to emphasize her oneness with nature. Her hair grows freely as she dances in the wind, and she is making herself tall as she has learned how to take up space in the world.
This piece expresses the feeling of being refreshed and free. The blue shades on her skin represents the crisp air that she is opening her arms up to and embracing. She features vibrant minty colors on her clothes and hair to evoke a sense of lightness and freshness. The less saturated background keeps the image feeling airy and light, showing that when she is in this environment, she is free from the heaviness present in today's world.
This piece is showing green's connection with luck - good luck specifically! She is seen bending over in a field of clovers on a sunny, yet cloudy, day searching for one that has four leaves. Luckily, she finds it. Maybe it's because she herself is green, and therefore filled with luck. Maybe it's because the green in the grass is sending her lucky energy. Maybe it is just the luck of the universe signifying that she is on the right path. Who knows!
This piece emphasizes green's connection with wealth and greed. Unlike the other pieces, this one evokes a negative associate with green. Thus, I created this piece to have a rather different feel than the others by doing a close up and making this image easy to read and less abstract. Creating a close up eliminates a lot of the human qualities featured in other pieces in order to emphasize that wealth is a human constructed idea.
This piece shows green's association with peace and serenity. She is featured in a half lotus position to emphasize her inner serenity and certainty. Her clothes are dark, as they are not meant to stand out. It is not what she is wearing that provides her with her sense of self, but what is present in her consciousness. The contrast of the dark background and her bright self shows that it does not matter what environment she is in, as she is at peace with herself. She exists to be her own light in the world and to spread said energy.
This piece illustrates green's relationship with balance. She, a libra, is featured balancing a scale in her hands that extends from the sky, yet is planted in Earth, and is disguised as a cloud. She is in charge of nature's balance, as she is an extension of nature. This is signifying that we are all a part of nature, and therefore in control of the balance in our own lives.
